A delicate vintage Arabia Finland mocha cup and saucer, featuring a beautifully detailed floral decoration composed by celebrated Finnish ceramic designer Esteri Tomula.
The decoration consists of stylised circular flowers in soft turquoise blue and grey, surrounded by exceptionally fine radiating lines. The restrained colour palette and intricate botanical drawing are characteristic of Esteri Tomula’s distinctive approach to ceramic decoration.
The underside of the cup carries the original Arabia marking together with:
“Sommittelu E. Tomula”
The Finnish word sommittelu refers to the composition or decorative design, identifying Esteri Tomula as the designer responsible for the decoration.
