The Moomin jug Stockmann was released in 2016 and was only in production for one year. The Stockmann jug was introduced to the market to complement the Arabian Moomin series released in 2012. The original series from 2012 was made to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the traditional department store Stockmann. The illustration on the jug comes from the gift wrap designed by Tove Jansson for Stockmann in the 1950s.
Stockmann\’s anniversary collection included unique numbered special products that could only be purchased from Stockmann. In addition to the jug, other special products made according to the Jansson gift wrap pattern were a Moomin mug, tea and coffee jars, coasters, trays, a plate, a jar with a lid and a tea towel.
