An original vintage Arabia Black & White Paratiisi oval plate, designed by celebrated Finnish ceramic artist Birger Kaipiainen.<\/p>\n
The iconic Paratiisi pattern was originally designed in 1969, while this early monochrome Black & White version was produced for only a short period in the early 1970s. This example belongs to the original 1972\u20131974 production, long before the later reissues. <\/p>\n
The original vintage version is particularly recognisable for its delicate, finely drawn black lines, creating a lighter and more graphic appearance than later production. The abundant composition of fruits, berries, violets and leaves makes Paratiisi one of the most distinctive classics of Finnish ceramic design.<\/p>\n
This oval plate measures approximately 23 \u00d7 25 cm and is made of hard faience. A Finnish vintage reference documents this exact 23 \u00d7 25 cm BK-model format with the Arabia W\u00e4rtsil\u00e4 Finland backstamp. <\/p>\n
