A beautiful vintage Näppylä glass bowl, designed by Finnish glass designer Saara Hopea for Nuutajärvi.
The bowl is characterised by its distinctive raised dot texture around the lower half, combined with a smooth flared upper section. The warm brown / amber glass gives the piece a rich and elegant appearance, while the tactile surface creates beautiful reflections in the light.
This sculptural pressed-glass design is a fine example of Finnish mid-century glassware and of Saara Hopea’s bold, functional approach to form and surface.
