A beautiful Arabia Black Paratiisi bowl, featuring the iconic Paratiisi decoration designed by Finnish ceramic artist Birger Kaipiainen in 1969.
Meaning “Paradise” in Finnish, Paratiisi is one of Arabia’s most celebrated tableware designs. Its richly detailed composition combines fruits, violets, blackcurrants and foliage in Kaipiainen’s unmistakably decorative style.
This monochrome Black Paratiisi (Musta Paratiisi) version transforms the abundant botanical composition into a striking combination of black, grey and white, giving the design a particularly graphic character.
The underside carries an older ARABIA WÄRTSILÄ FINLAND factory mark together with multilingual dishwasher-proof markings.
